Born in Rikuzentakata, Iwate prefecture.He has been covering the United States, Africa and Central America as a photo journalist.He lost his mother in 3.11 in Rikuzentakata when unprecedented disaster struck the region.Ever since, for over 3 and a half years with his camera in hand, he has been giving encouragement to the people in thedisaster stricken areas living under harsh conditions and trying to gain back normalcy.
Planon supporting the “Mobile Tanabata Festival” from Kawahara in Rikuzentakata which was completely destroyed by the tsunami.
